SHORT TERM STUDY VISA CHECKLIST

VALIDITY

• Up to 6 months – For short courses, English language courses, or training
• Up to 11 months – Only for English language courses

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

• Passport & Travel Documents

1. Valid passport (should cover the full duration of stay)
2. Old / expired passports (if any – to show travel history)

• Course & Institution Documents

1. Offer / Acceptance Letter from the UK institution (must clearly confirm admission)
2. Course details letter - Course name, Duration (start & end dates) and Course fees
3. Proof of course fee payment (receipt or confirmation, if paid)

• Financial Documents

1. Proof of funds to cover:Course fees, Living expenses and Return travel
2. Bank statements (last 6 months, stamped and signed by bank)
3. Sponsor letter (if sponsored by parents/guardian)
4. Sponsor financial documents (bank statements, income proof, ID proof – if applicable)

• Accommodation & Travel Details

1. Accommodation details in the UK (university accommodation / hotel booking / host address)
2. Travel itinerary (tentative flight details)

• Personal & Supporting Documents

1. Aadhaar Card
2. Email ID & contact number (typed)
3. Indian residential address (typed)
4. Educational certificates (relevant to the course)
5. Employment / leave letter (if employed – optional but recommended)
6. Proof of ties to India (job, business, family, property – if applicable)

• Additional Documents (If Applicable)

1. TB Test Certificate (for stays longer than 6 months, from UK-approved clinic)
2. Marriage certificate (if married)
3. Child birth certificate (if travelling with a minor)
4. Previous UK visa copies
5. History of visa refusals (UK or any country)
